Around 852, he crafted a winged device that wrapped around him like a bird costume. He conducted his first trial with it in Spain, and for a few breathtaking moments, he flew! That is, before he fell to the ground and injured his back-but that’s just the price of being a trailblazer, right?
Abbas Ibn Firnas wasn’t just ahead of his time-he was centuries ahead, laying the foundation for future inventors like Da Vinci and the Wright brothers .💡 Driven by curiosity and a desire to explore the possibility of human flight, he pushed the boundaries of engineering, imagination, and innovation. 💫
