I was born in Uzbekistan where Imam Al Bukhari is from.
I lived there in the first 20 years of my life.
When I was 20, I came to Denmark to study.
I had only $7 in my pocket.
The next 10 years, I chased Dunya. Alhamdulillah, I got a family with 3 kids. I got a house and a car. It seemed I had everything. Yet something or Someone was missing in my life. The last 10 years, I have been doing my best to fill that gap.

They also felt a big void in their lives.
Even though we are Muslims, alhamdulillah, somehow somewhere we started to “believe” in the stories in these books, movies and media. Sometimes willingly, sometimes subconsciously some of us started to limit the awareness of Allah SWT when we go to masjid only or similar cases. I was one of them, unfortunately. What we recited in our prayers doesn’t match with what we do in life.
Life is made of 3 big parts:
- 1/3 is sleep;
- 1/3 social life - a tiny portion of this we use for prayers;
- 1/3 is study or work.
This last 1/3 part of our life - study/work, we think it is for us. We think it is nothing personal, strictly business. But until we turn this business into busyness with Allah, we will never fill that void. We will never find peace.
Because, if we fill this gap anything or anyone but Allah, it will never satisfy us. Because, this is why Allah swt created us. This is what we also promised, submitted and surrendered to when we said: “There is no god (nothing or no one worthy of placing in the centre of my life) except Allah”.
In the last 10 years, I have done my best to solve this problem for myself. I also helped other Muslim entrepreneurs and Muslim professionals as well. Now with this book 7 Steps To Success in Deen & Dunya, I will share it with you as well.

Story of
3 builders
Once upon a time, a traveller was passing by a building. He saw 3 builders doing the same thing: laying a brick on the wall.
The traveller passed by the first builder and asked him “How is life? What are you doing?” Builder 1 replied: “Man, life is tough. Look at what I am doing! Laying a brick. This job sucks. It doesn’t pay well. Life is unfair. I wish I was on a beach and having rest right now.”
The traveller continued and passed by the second builder and asked the same question: “How is life? What are you doing?” Builder 2 replied: “It is ok. We are building a mosque.” Then the builder continues his work.
The traveller continued and passed by the third builder and asked the same question: “How is life? What are you building?”
Builder 3 answered: “Life is beautiful! I am part of this beautiful and amazing building project. I love building. We are building a house of Allah SWT where hundreds and maybe thousands of people come and pray every day. I hope My Lord will reward me as long as this masjid is standing. Because I am here to seek His pleasure. I'm so blessed, alhamdulillah. You know what? Even though, I offered my help free of charge, these people are paying me anyway. Can you believe it?”
Even though all these 3 builders are doing the same thing and even getting paid the same, their attitude and how they perceive the world and their work is different. Do you know why?
Why is the answer. I mean those who know why they do what they do is the answer.
Majority of people are similar to Builder 1. They don’t know why, how or what they do what they do. They work because they have to. They complain. They wish they didn’t work at all.
